Sarah Buskey is a 2nd generation insurance broker. She began working at McEvoy Insurance in 2013. Upon turning 18 she passed the NY Property and Casualty Personal Lines Broker Exam and has happily been assisting clients with their individual insurance needs ever since. In May 2020 Sarah passed her NY Property and Casualty Broker Exam. Sarah is passionate about education and can often be found discussing the importance of proper coverage both inside and outside of the office.
Sarah is a 2015 graduate of SUNY Jefferson. In 2018, Sarah was a panel member for the local Small Business Association’s Business of Women conference. In 2019, Sarah joined the steering committee for the SBA BOW. She volunteers year round working with middle and high school students. She has taught 2nd grade Faith Formation, Confirmation Preparation and is a Youth Group leader. Sarah has volunteered in the fried dough booth at the St. Anthony’s Mount Carmel Feast for years.
Kathi Buskey owns McEvoy Insurance along with her husband David. Kathi graduated from State University College at Buffalo and she holds a NY Property and Casualty License. Kathi works hard to ensure that small business owner clients of McEvoy Insurance understands their coverages and their value.
Kathi has been an active member of the Small Business Association’s Business of Women steering committee for years. She was a panel member at the conference in 2018 to share the unique perspective of a mother and daughter who work alongside each other in the local community. She has volunteered at Samaritan Keep Nursing Home and enjoys seeing clients while working at the annual Mount Carmel Feast.
David Buskey is co-owner of McEvoy Insurance. He began his insurance career in 1995 and now holds a New York Property and Casualty License, New York Life Accident and Health License, and Certified Professional Insurance Agent designation. David graduated from Mohawk Valley Community College and attended SUNY Utica. He has been part of Dryden Mutual Insurance Company’s Agent Council. David will take as much time as needed to make sure clients understand their coverages and options.
David has taught the insurance segment for New York Real Estate licensing classes at SUNY Jefferson. He has been a volunteer coach for baseball, soccer, and basketball for many years as well as St. Anthony’s Mount Carmel Feast. Outside of the office, David enjoys working on a vineyard and sharing the knowledge has obtained through that work to others.
Zach Buskey is a skilled professional at McEvoy Insurance. His academic background is in finance. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Information & Analysis from Clarkson University where he graduated with great distinction. His expertise is further solidified by his status as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) which showcases his deep understanding of financial markets. Specializing in insurance, Zach utilizes his background in research and analysis to navigate clients through complex insurance landscapes, offering customized solutions for protection and security for both individuals as well as commercial clients. When not in the office, Zach enjoys spending his time with his family as well as working on his family’s vineyard.
Abby Lamson is a native of Northern New York. She quickly became a cherished member of the McEvoy family in 2016 and passed her New York Property and Casualty Personal Lines Exam the same year. Abby is working towards her Associates degree at SUNY Jefferson. She has a bubbly personality that uplifts her coworkers and clients. Abby works hard to provide excellent service for new and existing clients.
Abby is an active member of Long Falls Baptist Church and volunteers whenever there is an opportunity. She also gives her time to the Carthage Free Library, Carthage Food Pantry, and St. Anthony’s Mount Carmel Feast. Abby is an amazing artist who resides with her husband James, and their cats Mufasa and Ringo.
