Richelle Spicer

Richelle Spicer is a transplant from New York City. She came to the north country for college, obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Multi-Language from St. Lawrence University. She met the love of her life there and chose to stay, going back to school in 2016 to obtain her Associates in Hospitality and Tourism.

She has always enjoyed being of service to others, cultivating a strong customer service groundwork of skills. Outside of the office, Richelle enjoys spending time with her partner of 15 years, husband of 10, and their two children. Her hobbies include playing tabletop roleplaying games, video games, and growing vegetables in her garden.

Dan Menapace

Dan Menapace joined McEvoy Insured in the summer of 2024. Dan entered the P&C field having been in the health insurance marketplace for 15 years and having worked specifically with Medicare since 2016.

Dan is a native of Central NY and attended college in Western NY, where he met his wife, Sue. Dan and Sue joined the North Country community in 1993 where they have raised four children, and a half a dozen dogs. Over the years Dan has been involved in numerous community organizations including the United Way, Boy Scouts of America, Rotary, WPBS and HarmoNNY Performing Arts Community.

In addition to his work in the office supporting McEvoy P&C clients, Dan enjoys helping people understand Medicare and their options so they can be comfortable with the process and confident in their choices.

Abby Lamson

Abby Lamson is a native of Northern New York. She quickly became a cherished member of the McEvoy family in 2016 and passed her New York Property and Casualty Personal Lines Exam the same year. Abby works diligently to provide excellent service for new and existing clients, providing coverage that fits their needs. She has a bubbly personality that uplifts her coworkers and clients. Abby loves to help clients with any questions or concerns that they may have regarding their coverages and will assist in any way she can.
Abby loves to spend time with her husband, James, and their daughter, Phoebe. She resides in the Village of Carthage and loves hiking and being outdoors with her immediate family and many nieces and nephews.

Sarah West

Sarah West began working at McEvoy Insurance in 2013. Upon turning 18 she passed the NY Property and Casualty Personal Lines Broker Exam and has happily been assisting clients with their individual insurance needs ever since. In May 2020 Sarah passed her NY Property and Casualty Broker Exam. Sarah is passionate about education and can often be found discussing the importance of proper coverage both inside and outside of the office.

Sarah is a 2015 graduate of SUNY Jefferson. She was a panel member at the Small Business Association’s Business of Women conference in 2018 where she was able to share the unique perspective of a mother and daughter who work alongside each other in the local community. In 2019, Sarah joined the steering committee for the SBA BOW. She is eager to assist small business owners as they navigate their insurance needs at an affordable price.

Sarah enjoys working alongside her family at McEvoy Insurance and as a new mom she is enthusiastic about helping other families protect what matters most.

Jacob Buskey

Jacob Buskey is a co-owner of McEvoy Insurance, working alongside his brother, Zach, and father, David. He began his career in the insurance industry in 2024, earning both his New York Property & Casualty License and New York Life, Accident & Health License at just eighteen years of age.

Jacob specializes in new business development and customer service, bringing energy, dedication, and a client-first mindset to every interaction. He is passionate about helping others and consistently goes above and beyond to find the best insurance solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Outside of the office, Jacob enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing the guitar, and is an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

Zach Buskey

Zach Buskey is a skilled professional at McEvoy Insurance with a robust academic background in finance from Clarkson University. As a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder, he brings a deep understanding of financial markets to his work. Zach specializes in insurance, drawing on his research and analytical expertise to guide clients through complex coverage options and provide customized solutions for both individuals and businesses. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and helping out on his family’s vineyard.

David Buskey

David Buskey is President of McEvoy Insurance. He began his insurance career in 1995 and now holds a New York Property and Casualty License, New York Life Accident and Health License, and Certified Professional Insurance Agent designation. David graduated from Mohawk Valley Community College and attended SUNY Utica. He has been part of Dryden Mutual Insurance Company’s Agent Council. David will take as much time as needed to make sure clients understand their coverage and options.

David has taught the insurance segment for New York Real Estate licensing classes at Jefferson County Board of Realtors. He has been a volunteer coach for baseball, soccer, and basketball for many years as well as St. Anthony’s Mount Carmel Feast. Outside of the office, David enjoys working on a vineyard and sharing and gaining knowledge through that working with others.
